<h2>About the role</h2><p>As a Product Manager, you’ll own and drive the EPOS &amp; RF device product strategy and lifecycle across Booker’s wholesale estate. You’ll define the vision, set the roadmap, and ensure our products deliver real value while supporting day-to-day trading.</p><p>Working closely with Technology, Operations, and third-party partners, you’ll balance business needs with technical possibilities to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. You’ll also play a key role in guiding decision-making, using data and insight to continuously improve performance and outcomes.</p><p>This is a collaborative role where your voice matters – you’ll help shape the direction of critical systems that support thousands of colleagues and customers.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Define and own the EPOS &amp; RF device product vision, strategy and roadmap</li><li>Translate business and operational goals into clear, prioritised product outcomes</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, architecture and support teams to deliver scalable, supportable solutions</li><li>Lead product prioritisation and investment decisions to maximise value and minimise risk</li><li>Represent the product in governance forums and stakeholder discussions</li><li>Ensure smooth delivery of system changes, upgrades and rollouts with minimal disruption</li><li>Maintain high standards for product resilience, compliance and security</li><li>Use data and insights to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement</li><li>Support agile delivery through backlog refinement, prioritisation and clear requirements</li><li>Build strong relationships with internal teams and third-party suppliers</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar role in a technology environment</li><li>Knowledge of EPOS, retail or wholesale systems (or similar operational platforms)</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li><li>Experience working with agile teams and managing product backlogs</li><li>The ability to translate business needs into clear technical deliverables</li><li>Confidence making decisions in fast-paced, operational environments</li><li>A strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term needs and long-term goals</li><li>Experience working with live systems where reliability and continuity are critical</li><li>A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
