About
Canada Goose

Founded in Toronto in 1957, Canada Goose began as Metro Sportswear, producing functional cold-weather gear for outdoor workers. It rebranded in 2000 under Dani Reiss, who, as CEO since 2001, transformed it into a luxury label while ensuring production remains 100% in Canada. The brand is renowned for its parkas, crafted in local factories with uncompromising attention to performance and craftsmanship. These jackets are now coveted worldwide, sold through Canada Goose-owned stores—including its London flagship—and upscale retailers like Saks and Harrods. Beyond extreme-weather gear, the company has diversified into lighter apparel and footwear, and recently launched a heritage fashion sub‑label, Snow Goose, under its first creative director, Haider Ackermann. Despite its luxury positioning, Canada Goose has expanded its year-round appeal with versatile items while maintaining its reputation for quality and Canadian manufacturing.
