As a leader in the industry, we’re elevating the retail experience for our consumers through our collection of established brands, including Sports Direct, FLANNELS, USC, Frasers, and GAME</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><u><strong>The Role:</strong></u></p><p>We're looking for a motivated, experienced and detail-oriented Garment Technologist to join the Frasers Group team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong individual to take ownership of the fit, quality and performance of products across a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment. Working closely with Design, Buying and suppliers, you'll play a key role in driving product development from initial concept through to production, ensuring garments meet the highest standards of fit, quality, construction and performance.</p><p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Attend and lead weekly fit sessions across both men’s and womenswear, including accessories, taking ownership of fit and technical decisions for assigned brands and categories.</li><li>Independently manage the fit and technical development of your own brands / categories, working closely with the Design and Buying teams to ensure excellent, consistent and commercially appropriate fit.</li><li>Record and communicate clear, accurate and concise fit comments to factories and suppliers, ensuring all amendments are correctly understood and reflected in subsequent samples and production.</li><li>Analyse test reports, identify potential quality or performance issues and work with suppliers to resolve technical concerns effectively.</li><li>Oversee care label approvals for assigned brands / product categories, ensuring all information is accurate and compliant with testing requirements.</li><li>Maintain and review grading and sizing rules for each garment type and individual brand, ensuring consistency of fit and measurement standards.</li><li>Maintain and develop brand-specific block libraries, ensuring blocks are accurate and updated each season.</li><li>Monitor and report on quality, faults and production performance each season, analysing individual factory performance against agreed targets and identifying areas for improvement.</li><li>Proactively identify recurring technical, quality and production issues and work with suppliers and internal teams to implement effective corrective actions.</li><li>Support the development and introduction of new technical innovations, including 3D fitting, new product development technologies and the testing of innovative performance fabrics.</li><li>Manage multiple product categories and critical paths effectively, ensuring technical approvals and production deadlines are achieved.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with Design, Buying, QC, Production and suppliers, acting as a key technical point of contact throughout the product development process.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Previous experience working as a Garment Technologist within a retail, fashion or similar environment.</li><li>Strong garment fitting and technical development experience across relevant product categories.</li><li>Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, grading, specifications and technical standards.</li><li>Experience analysing garment testing reports and resolving technical and quality issues.</li><li>A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication.</li><li>Excellent organisational and time management skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while confidently taking ownership of technical decisions.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>An opportunity like this at Frasers is for the fearless.
