<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role</h3><p><span><span>We're looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join our Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.</span></span></p><p><span><span>This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial matters, partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice. You'll play a key role in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal risk, and supporting the business to achieve its objectives, while working closely with the Head of Legal Services.</span></span></p><p><strong><span><span>What you'll be doing:</span></span></strong></p><ul><li><span><span>Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of customer and supplier contracts.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to colleagues across the business throughout contract negotiations and delivery.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Advising on the interpretation and application of commercial agreements.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Updating and maintaining precedent contracts, templates and terms and conditions to ensure they remain fit for purpose.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Keeping abreast of changes in relevant legislation and ensuring the business is informed of any implications.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Providing day-to-day legal advice across a variety of operational and commercial matters.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Working closely with the Head of Legal Services, escalating matters where appropriate and keeping them informed of key developments.</span></span></li></ul><p><strong><span><span>Why join us?</span></span></strong></p><p><span><span>This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor who is looking to broaden their commercial experience within a fast-paced retail environment.
