<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role...</h3><p>As a Software Developer at Poundland &amp; Dealz, you will join our in-house development team, reporting to the Software Development Team Leader and working closely with experienced engineers and business stakeholders.</p><p>This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, build, and maintain business-critical systems that support our stores across the UK &amp; Ireland. You’ll play a key part in developing robust, scalable software solutions while following established development standards and best practices.</p><p>Alongside project work, you’ll provide ongoing support and enhancements for internally developed applications, working collaboratively with end users to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.</p><p>You’ll be encouraged to build strong working relationships across the business, enabling you to gather requirements clearly, contribute ideas and help shape solutions that meet evolving commercial needs.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Working On</strong></p><p>The primary focus of this role is our EPOS (till) platform, used across all Poundland &amp; Dealz stores in the UK &amp; Ireland.</p><p>This is a mission-critical system that has been in place for over 25 years and is now being rewritten from the ground up.
