We’re looking for a fully qualified Accountant who is confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable balancing hands on accounting with field based support. In this role you’ll be supporting our Depot teams in our Wales and West taking ownership of our fixed asset accounting, supporting financial performance and playing a key part in helping our operational teams understand and use their profit and loss effectively. on accounting with field based support.‑on accounting with field‑based support.</p><p><strong>Benefits offered as a </strong><strong>Senior Accountant</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and bonus scheme (up to 25%)</li><li>Company Car or Annual Car Allowance</li><li>Private Healthcare for you</li><li>Excellent pension scheme with a company contribution of up to 12%</li><li>25 days holiday + bank holidays per year</li><li>Cycle to work scheme&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Share save scheme.&nbsp;</li><li>Friendly and supportive environment offering exceptional reward and recognition</li></ul><p><strong>What You Will Do in This Role<br> </strong></p><ul><li>Lead and manage the fixed asset accounting process, including asset allocation, new depots, relocations, and investment appraisals</li><li>Support the Wales and West region, building strong relationships with Regional Directors, Area Managers and depot teams</li><li>Travel regularly within the region to meet stakeholders, attend meetings and provide in‑person financial support</li><li>Support your region by providing clear financial insight, analysis, and practical commercial support</li><li>Present financial information in a simple, engaging way to non‑finance colleagues, including contributing to Profit and Loss training for new manager</li><li>Interpret complex data sets and present findings and recommendations to senior management</li><li>Support and develop your team member ensuring accurate and consistent financial reporting</li><li>Assist with period end‑end close and ensure accounts are completed accurately and on time</li></ul><p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)</li><li>Excellent Excel skills (able to interpret and manipulate complex data)</li><li>Experience working in a large, multi‑site or multi‑region organisation</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organised and look ahead to prevent bottlenecks</li><li>Strong communication skills and the confidence to present to non‑finance audiences</li><li>Proactive and engaged with the business, you’ll be comfortable spending time in the field with stakeholders</li><li>Ability to manage and support a direct report effectively</li></ul><p><strong>It would be an advantage if you have</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in an operational or commercial finance role in a similar environment</li><li>Experience coaching stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge</li><li>Background in investment appraisal, capital projects or asset‑heavy environments</li></ul><p><strong>Our Hiring Process </strong></p><p>We’ll close the advert once we have enough applications for the next stage.
