Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with the state of the art equipment operating a large site 24/7, we produce around ¼ billion items per annum.</span></p><p style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;">This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (regular days) </span></p><p style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;">Working to production time lines the Slitting machine operator is responsible for the slitting of all products that are required for the manufacturing process. After training, you’ll carry out basic maintenance on this machine so an intermediate technical knowledge is required. You’ll also look after the stock control of raw material and submitting purchase requisitions as required. It’ll be essential to possess a good appreciation of Maths to ensure accurate operation of slitting machine with accuracy.</span><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;"> </span></p><p style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;">To deliver and prioritise workload successfully you will successfully build relationships and work closely with other key members of the wider team such as Production Planners, Finishing Machine Operators and Managers. </span></p><p style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;">Skills required:</span></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;"><li style="font-size:inherit;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;display:unset;">Be numerically literate with Maths GCSE or equivalent</span></li><li style="font-size:inherit;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;display:unset;">An intermediate technical knowledge for basic machine maintenance </span></li><li style="font-size:inherit;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;display:unset;">Previous experience of operating machines in a similar production environment - beneficial </span></li><li style="font-size:inherit;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;display:unset;">Must be flexible and be able to adapt to business needs</span></li><li style="font-size:inherit;"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;display:unset;">Basic Computer skills are required</span></li></ul></div><!-- Apply Button --><a href="https://careers.cfjobs.co.uk/members/?j=30953&lang=en&" class="btn btn-apply apply_bottom">Apply<i class="fas fa-chevron-right" aria-hidden="true"></i></a>
