Supporting our Finance Manager, you'll play an active role in inventory reporting, stock take planning, reconciliations, and valuation of £50m+ of inventory. This role offers hybrid working from our Junction 41 Wakefield office (2–3 days per week), plus free parking.</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-size:inherit;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">You’ll play a key part in meeting external audit requirements, providing accurate insights to internal teams, and driving improvements across our systems and inventory processes. We’re looking for a qualified accountant (or part qualified, close to completion) with strong relevant experience, excellent analytical skills, and the confidence to work independently while supporting others.</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-size:inherit;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><strong style="font-weight:700;">What you’ll be doing</strong></span></p><ul style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;"><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Owning monthly inventory reconciliations and supporting both interim, seasonal and year‑end stocktakes</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Complete monthly GRIR balance sheet reconciliations and liaise with purchase ledger to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices for Stock, Freight and Duty</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Closely monitor Moving Average Prices (MAP) and investigate any discrepancies outside of agreed tolerances</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Calculating monthly inventory provisions and ensuring that Group policy is applied</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Contributing to the reporting outputs of the team whilst identifying balance sheet risks and opportunities</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Supporting the upskilling and development of Inventory Assistants</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Ensure all external audit requirements are met</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Delivering ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider finance leadership</li></ul><p style="margin:0px;font-size:inherit;padding:5px 0px;"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><strong style="font-weight:700;">What you’ll bring</strong></span></p><ul style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;"><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">A professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) or part qualified, close to completion</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">A strong level of experience in a relevant role</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Strong data and ERP experience with excellent Excel capability</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Great stakeholder management skills and high attention to detail</li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;">Confidence to manage competing priorities with a proactive, hands‑on mindset</li></ul></div><!-- Apply Button --><a href="https://careers.cfjobs.co.uk/members/?j=30847&lang=en&" class="btn btn-apply apply_bottom">Apply<i class="fas fa-chevron-right" aria-hidden="true"></i></a>
