<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role</h3><p>We are looking for a qualified and experienced Internal Audit Manager to support the delivery of our Internal Audit and Assurance plan.&nbsp;</p><p>As our Internal Audit Manager, you will have the opportunity to support the Senior Internal Audit and Assurance Manager in shaping the strategy for the future of Internal Audit and Risk Assurance at Matalan.</p><p>This is a hands-on, high impact role, where you will have the opportunity to work across the entire business. We need someone with technical expertise who can combine strong analytical skills with sound business judgement.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Internal Audit</strong></p><p>•<span> </span>Plan and deliver a range of complex, risk based internal audit reviews across all areas of the business (both financial and non-financial).</p><p>•<span> </span>Assess the design and effectiveness of controls to minimise risk and strengthen business performance.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Gather, analyse and test information from multiple sources to identify control weaknesses and develop value-adding recommendations.</p><p>•<span> </span>Present clear, well-structured audit findings and recommendations, addressing issues identified through audit fieldwork.</p><p>•<span> </span>Work closely with business stakeholders to agree actions, review evidence of implementation and provide challenge where necessary to ensure effective closure.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Write concise and comprehensive audit reports suitable for presentation to Executive Leadership and the Audit &amp; Risk Committee.</p><p>•<span> </span>Contribute to the continuous improvement of Internal Audit processes, tools and ways of working, aligned to the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.</p><p><strong>Risk Assurance</strong></p><p>•<span> </span>Support the ongoing management of the Group Risk Registers, acting as a business partner to support and coach management in identifying and responding to enduring and emerging risks.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Provide insight and advice to the business regarding risk exposure and risk mitigation.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Deputise for the Senior Internal Audit and Assurance Manager, including representing Internal Audit at the Audit &amp; Risk Committee as / when required.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="absolute bottom-2 right-2"><button onclick="scrollToTop()" class="theme-primary p-2 rounded-lg flex"> <i translate="no" class="material-symbols-outlined"> arrow_upward </i> </button></div>
