We’re proud to have won national awards including Best UK Workplace 2023, Best UK Workplace for Women 2023 and Excellence in Wellbeing awards 2023.<br>&nbsp;<br>We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice, to join our IT team at our Wychbold store.<br>&nbsp;<br>This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting IT systems (including hardware, software, networking, and user support) in a busy retail environment while working towards a recognised IT qualification.<br>You will support day-to-day IT operations across all our garden centres, including retail tills (EPOS), back-office systems, and staff technology, while learning from experienced colleagues and external training providers.<br>&nbsp;<br>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Provide first-line technical support to colleagues across the business (in person, via phone, online and email as required).</li><li>Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tills and printers.</li><li>Support the setup and maintenance of user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.</li><li>Help troubleshoot software and network issues.</li><li>Perform regular system checks and updates.</li><li>Document IT procedures, configurations, and incident reports.</li><li>Assist in maintaining inventory of IT assets and equipment.</li><li>Learn and apply best practices in cybersecurity, data protection, and IT compliance.</li><li>Participate in ongoing IT projects (e.g. new tills, promotional displays, system development/upgrades) under the guidance of senior team members.</li></ul>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Skills and Qualifications<br>Essential:<ul><li>A strong interest in technology, computing, and problem-solving.</li><li>Basic understanding of computers, operating systems (Windows), and common software applications (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.</li><li>Good problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and ICT.</li><li>Some prior experience or study in IT (formal or self-taught).</li><li>Knowledge of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, etc.).</li></ul>&nbsp;<br>Training and Development<ul><li>You will receive structured on-the-job training and formal education toward a nationally recognised IT Apprenticeship qualification [e.g. Level 3 IT Support Technician / Network Technician].</li><li>Exposure to retail systems, stock management software, and EPOS technology</li><li>Opportunities for career progression within the IT team upon successful completion of the IT apprenticeship qualification.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<br>Working hours for this role are 30 hours per week which will include weekend work.<br>&nbsp;<br>The role is based at our store in Wychbold, Worcestershire and so living within a reasonable commuting distance is a must.<br>&nbsp;<br>Our reward package includes a generous benefits package including colleague discounts, life insurance, pension scheme and free parking.<br>&nbsp;<br><a name="Hlk125701777">If you'd like to join our fun, friendly Webbs team then please </a>click apply now or send your CV to <a href="mailto:jobs@webbs.co.uk">jobs@webbs.co.uk</a><br>&nbsp;<br><a class="button" title="This opens up in a new window" href="https://webbsdirect.co.uk/images/pdf/Webbs-Application-Form-2020.pdf">Apply Now</a><br>&nbsp;<br>Job Types: Part time<br>&nbsp;<br>Hourly rate: £7.55.
