<h2>About the role</h2><p>We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Distribution Centre in Haydock as a HGV driver. This NEW opportunity will involve both single drop deliveries AND Multi Drop deliveries. Using both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles. Cage work will be involved in this role.</p><ul><li>45 Hours Per Week over 4 or 5 days.</li><li>Class 1 and Class 2 driving will be involved.</li><li>Start times between 04:00 - 07:00 and 12:00 - 13:00.</li><li>Saturday working will form part of the shift pattern, to be discussed at interview (Weekend Premium applied)</li></ul><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>The safe delivery of stock to our 198 cash and carry stores PLUS our retail partner stores.</p><p>Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery</p><p>That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift</p><p>Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team</p><h2>You will need</h2><p>You must hold a valid C+E Licence</p><p>Experienced driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, with Multi Drop experience preferred</p><p>All applicants must be CPC qualified to be considered for this role</p><p>Applicants will not be considered if they have more than 6 points on their licence,&nbsp;'Careless Driving', prosecution for mobile phone use or drink driving or have failed to comply with 'Construction of Use'.</p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
