padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">We are looking for people who are available to cover our busiest times which are:</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Monday to Friday - 4pm to 7pm</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Saturday and Sunday - 10am - 6pm</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">There will be shifts available during term time with increased shifts available during academic holidays.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><strong>The Role</strong></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Every day is different at the YMCA climbing wall; our diverse mix of regular climbers, school visits, birthday parties and new climbers mean you will meet loads of different people every day all at different climbing abilities.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You will:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Provide a warm welcome at our Climbing Reception</li><li>Take payments, complete disclaimers and answers any questions customers may have</li><li>Provide help and guidance to new Climbers and as part of our regular sessions</li><li>Supervising the clip and climb area</li><li>Out team are expected to Climb to assist with demonstrations and participate in our community sessions, but if you are new, we will assist you with learning the basics.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You will support with sessions for all ages and abilities, ensuring an exceptional visitor experience.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Once you have been fully inducted and trained on our processes and procedures, it is important you following Health &amp; Safety procedures and YMCA Newark &amp; Sherwood policies and procedures at all times and attending additional training where required.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You will also:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Ensure that all climbers have completed/obtained the necessary pre-session requirements</li><li>Maintain the highest customer service standards</li><li>Assist with ensuring that all necessary checks are carried out regularly on all climbing walls and equipment, and assist with our route setters changing the climbing holds on a regular basis to a high standard to keep the climbing facility fresh and interesting for visitors</li><li>Ensure the Climbing Centre is clean and tidy for visitors</li><li>Deal with accidents and incidents as they arrive, recording appropriately</li><li>Use your own previous climbing experience and training provided to instruct adults and children of all abilities</li></ul><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">We would look for you to be flexible and be available to work evenings and weekends, mostly rota ’ed in advance but able to cover at short notice if needed.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><strong>About You</strong></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">We are looking for confident, outgoing people who are able to engage and positively interact with our customers. &nbsp;You will be welcoming, friendly and love talking to people. &nbsp;You might be a passionate climber already and we would encourage your love of climbing to translate in your ability to teach, inspire and engage children, young people and adults who use our wall. &nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You will need to be equally comfortable talking to a group of children for the Clip n Climb safety briefing and answering questions from an adult climber.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Your excellent customer service skills will mean you are confident enough to speak with customers, give a warm welcome to anyone coming into the centre but also confident enough to stop someone if they are about to put themselves or others at risk. &nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You might already have worked as a Climbing Assistant/Instructor, and we would absolutely welcome your experience and expertise too. &nbsp; Your previous experience will give you a fantastic start but we would also be delighted to support your continual development and provide you the opportunity to undertake further training and qualifications with us.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em;
