In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient inventory handling, meeting productivity targets, and maintaining a safe working environment.<br>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, dispatching, and stock control.</li><li>Lead, motivate, and support a team of warehouse staff to meet performance and safety targets.</li><li>Monitor workload and delegate tasks to ensure operational efficiency.</li><li>Train new and existing team members on processes, equipment, and safety procedures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service, purchasing) to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>Report on team performance, stock discrepancies, and operational issues to management.</li><li>Foster a positive and productive work environment, resolving conflicts and encouraging teamwork.</li></ul> <br>Requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with supervisory or leadership experience.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and H&S regulations.</li><li>Ability to lead by example and effectively manage a team.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Comfortable using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office tools.</li><li>Forklift license (desirable but not required, depending on the role).</li><li>Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul> <br>You will need to be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment which involves lifting, moving or operating machinery (PPE provided). Shift work or extended hours during peak periods may be required.<br>This is a full time and permanent position, working on average 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).<br> <br>Our reward package includes a generous Webbs discount, life insurance, Company pension scheme and discretionary profit share annual bonus.
