This role will be crucial in ensuring that the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and innovation are met across the portfolio, while also supporting the dynamic needs of the creative teams, especially for capsule collections and brand events. The VP will lead a global team and work closely with the internal merchandising, design, development, finished goods sourcing and quality teams to ensure seamless execution of raw materials within the product ranges from concept to final delivery.</p><p></p><p>We are looking for someone who is highly collaborative and thrives in an everchanging and fast paced environment, who is eager to be part of a world class organization that thrives on new challenges.</p><p></p><p><b><u>What you’ll Do:</u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Strategic Leadership and Management:</b></p><ul><li>Facilitate the global product category strategy through sourcing and developing luxury brand appropriate fabrics, trims colour, and packaging.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and design team to understand vision and requirements for brand events and capsule collections, ensuring quick turnaround times and exceptional product quality.</li><li>Lead the sourcing and development teams for raw materials, trims, colour and packaging globally, ensuring alignment with Canada Goose values and creative goals.</li><li>Ensure the delivery of collaborative and cross-functional creation of multi-year roadmaps and seasonal toolboxes.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Sustainability and Innovation:</b></p><ul><li>Collaborate and drive sustainability strategy roadmap with the sustainability teams, inclusive of but not limited to preferred fibers, traceability requirements, certifications &amp; testing, integrated score carding, and critical KPI’s.</li><li>Oversee market research to identify current trends and compile competitive data working closely with trim suppliers and fabric mills to develop future needs based on business objectives. Provide quarterly Material trend and financial outlook analysis to guide the business targeted margin requirements and product strategy.</li><li>Drive innovation in materials and trims, sourcing cutting-edge options to meet both the functional and aesthetic needs of all Canada Goose collections, (mainline and capsule).</li><li>Ensure packaging strategies are aligned with luxury branding standards while minimizing environmental impact according to corporate sustainability guidelines.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</b></p><ul><li>Rationalize number of colors, trims and fabrics and work with design and merchandising on a unified migration to new material platforms. Avoids a proliferation of fabrics, colors and trims that make it hard to be fast. Strategize and socialize on speed initiatives in relation to raw material and inventory positioning with raw material vendors, FG sourcing and planning.</li><li>Lead on-time performance discipline and ensure seamless coordination between sourcing, production, and logistics, balancing creativity with operational efficiency.</li></ul><ul><li>Partner with the product development teams to meet key objectives for the season and integrated calendar deadlines. Lead the preparation of seasonal development briefs/requests to guide suppliers on business targets, designated product end use and pre-qualification requirements.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>People Leadership &amp; Talent Development:</b></p><ul><li>Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team responsible for development and sourcing of raw materials, trims, colour and packaging.</li><li>Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the department.</li><li>Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Global Material Supply Chain and Vendor Management:</b></p><ul><li>Oversee global supply chain operations for raw materials, trims, colour and packaging, ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedules.</li><li>Direct material lead time guidelines and requirements to support the needs of the business. Focus lead time reduction opportunities through efficient protocols and practices, ultimately reducing liability on the business and improving service levels to maximize revenue.</li><li>Lead the vendor strategy as well as negotiation of contracts and score card reviews.</li><li>Focus, streamline and optimize supplier base.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Resource Management:</b></p><ul><li>Manage the global departmental budget, allocating resources efficiently to support product and creative initiatives.</li><li>Streamline workflows and establish best-in-class processes for timely and effective delivery.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Inclusion and Diversity:</b></p><ul><li>Champion diversity, equity, and sustainability in every aspect of our product materials and creative work, ensuring that these values are reflected in everything we produce.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Let's Talk About You:</u></b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).</li><li>10+ years of experience in raw materials, trims, packaging, or supply chain management within the luxury apparel or fashion industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of textile science, luxury material sourcing, trims, packaging, and the fashion design and development process.</li><li>Expertise in working with high-end suppliers and managing global supply chains, with an emphasis on quality control and sustainability.</li><li>Proven experience working closely with creative teams, particularly supporting the development of capsule collections and limited-edition products.</li><li>Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities &amp; accuracy, with a creative approach to problem solving.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.</li><li>Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.</li></ul><p><b>What’s in it For You?</b></p><ul><li>A company built on Canadian roots and heritage</li><li>Your work is recognized with a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards Program</li><li>Opportunities for career growth through numerous internal and external programs</li><li>Recognize and be recognized by your peers with our Goose Rewards &amp; ICON Rewards</li><li>Be a part of<span>&nbsp;</span><i>CG Gives</i>.
