<p><strong>We are looking to recruit a full time Transport Supervisor at our distribution centre in Bristol. &nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Pay, working hours &amp; benefits:</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The hours of work for this role will be day shifts 6am - 6pm or night shifts (6pm-6am) (4 on 4 off). However, we do require some flexibility in regards to night shifts as the successful candidate will also be expected to cover sickness / holidays. We will offer a competitive salary of £41,000<br>In addition to your pay you will also benefit from:<br>- 30 days annual leave (pro-rata).<br>- Regular breaks during your shift.&nbsp;<br>- Full training provided.<br>- Free canteen facilities.<br>- 15% staff discount to use in any of our 300+ shops on a great range of food and household essentials.<br>- A smart uniform and all PPE provided at no cost to you.<br>- Free life assurance.<br>- Workplace pension.<br>As one of our Transport Supervisors you will:&nbsp;<br>- Monitor all delivery runs, ensure that drivers are making deliveries on time and communicate with stores regarding any delays.<br>- Plan loads for the following days’ work, ensuring that kit is used as fully and efficiently as possible.<br>- Address performance issues or training needs.<br>- Liaise with the wider team at the depot to ensure that operational requirements are met.<br>- Issue progress updates to all appropriate persons. Where necessary provide detail regarding usage of kit and confirming that stores have been notified of time changes.<br>- Maintain ongoing coaching and support for Transport Clerks.<br>- Providing a safe working environment for all by adhering to H&amp;S procedures and ensuring they are understood and practised by the team.<br>- Ensuring compliance of Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) and ensuring the department continuously achieves a high level of customer focus &amp; service.<br>You will need:<br>- A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.<br>- Experience of working in a Transport environment;<br>- Knowledge of UK geography and road network;<br>- Experience of using a WMS;<br>- A proven track record of cost savings, productivity costs, quality control and error reduction;<br>- Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills;<br>- Ability to communicate in an open and honest manner with the team;<br>- Flexibility to work various shift patterns in response to customer demand.<br>- A HGV Licence is desirable not essential.<br>A bit about us:<br>Farmfoods are a family business with ambition.
