<h2>About the role</h2><p>We are looking to appoint a Supply Planner in either our Wellingborough or Hemel Hempsted Head Office sites to support our branches and category teams.</p><p>Within this role you will be a pivotal part of the Supply Chain team by improving cash profit and customer satisfaction through the efficient management of stock.</p><p>Our Supply Chain teams are driven to succeed and process orientated, tasked with ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time. &nbsp;Whilst this can be a challenging role, the sense of accomplishment you will feel after finding resolutions or solving problems is second to none.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>To apply for this role you should be able to commit to working 38 hours a week Monday to Friday&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>You will be required to work in the office at least 2-3 days a week to stay connected with the team.</strong></p><p><strong>This role can be based out of Hemel Hempstead, Maxted Road, HP2 7DX or Irthlingborough Rd, Wellingborough, NN8 1LT</strong></p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Optimise service levels to customers within business unit and the supply chain as a whole.</li><li>Manage a portfolio of Suppliers and Product Category</li><li>Achieve stockholding and wastage budgets for own product category and ensure appropriate actions are taken without impacting supply.</li><li>Daily review for stock shortages and contacting suppliers.</li><li>Ensure key issues are communicated to internal stakeholders and support with resolution</li><li>Forecasting, tracking promotions and products allocations</li><li>Supporting Seasonal Events and activities</li><li>Work in partnership with internal stakeholder teams to ensure that trading activities are identified and complement supply chain goals and vice versa.</li><li>Develop relationships with Suppliers and Consolidators/Hauliers to ensure that inbound supply service levels and supplier constraints are optimised.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><p>To be successful in this role you will have to be an excellent communicator with ability to negotiate and influence at all levels for both internal and external stakeholders.</p><p>You will have excellent organisation and time management skills, be able to prioritise and keep to tight deadlines.</p><p>You’ll have a strong customer service orientation, good analytical skills, Basic/ Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, strong attention to detail.</p><p>Work on your own initiative with a pro-active approach to tasks and be able to think outside the box when it comes to problem solving.</p><p>Ideally, you will have had some previous procurement or supply chain/ retail experience and some knowledge of supply chain ordering systems, sales forecasting experience, but full training will be given.</p><p>GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade C or above.</p><p><strong>Desirable:</strong> Suitable supply chain professional qualification or an interest in studying for one or Educated to degree level</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
