<h2>About the role</h2><p>If you have an interest in products and are keen to understand and learn more about how a product arrives on your plate or in your shopping basket then this could be the role for you! &nbsp;</p><p>Booker Group are recruiting 3 Product &amp; Brand Developers on 18 month fixed terms contracts to support with our own brand projects.&nbsp;</p><p>In this role you will support the Product &amp; Brand Manager to develop proposition-based developments ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs and in line with business priorities and timelines whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.&nbsp;</p><p>To do this you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical and commercial according to a gated process as well as conducting market research and competitor analysis to support identifying opportunities.&nbsp;</p><p>This role requires regular travel to business locations including our test kitchen.&nbsp;</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Analysing competitor offerings and benchmarking against industry standards.</li><li>Helping identify emerging food trends, consumer preferences, and gaps in the current product range.</li><li>Developing products and ranges according to agreed proposition, strategy &amp; deadlines</li><li>Presenting proposed new ranges to senior stakeholders ensuring efficient sign off</li><li>Coordinating with internal stakeholders, artwork agencies &amp; suppliers to ensure products are launched successfully and on time.&nbsp;</li><li>Tracking progress and resolving any issues throughout the gated process.</li><li>Presenting new launches to internal stakeholders (Comms, Marketing, Sales)</li><li>Supporting and contributing to internal and external stakeholder tastings&nbsp;</li><li>Supporting post-launch review</li><li>Championing diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone is welcome at Booker</li><li>Following our Business Code of Conduct &amp; always acting with integrity and due diligence.</li><li>Building and maintaining effective working relationships internally and externally</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Experience of working in the product industry (Food Products would be advantageous)</li><li>Customer/ market insight/commercial understanding</li><li>Demonstrated passion for Product</li><li>Product Development&nbsp;</li><li>Stakeholder engagement, including presentation skills</li><li>Teamworking and collaboration</li><li>Scheduling &amp; prioritising workflow</li><li>Managing business needs</li><li>Continuous improvement&nbsp;</li><li>To be able to commit to regular travel to business locations</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
