We’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated <strong>Head Greenkeeper&nbsp;</strong>to join our team at <strong>Barnehurst Golf Course</strong>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the course, leading turf and course management programmes, overseeing the assistant greenkeeper, and ensuring our driving range is kept to a professional standard.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who We Are</strong></p><p>Our culture is shaped by our core values, which guide how we work and what we expect from each other:</p><ul><li><strong>Passion&nbsp;</strong>– for golf, service, and maintaining exceptional playing conditions</li><li><strong>Respect</strong> – for colleagues, customers, and the environment</li><li><strong>Integrity</strong> – in how we manage, maintain, and care for our courses</li><li><strong>Drive</strong> – to achieve the highest standards across every area of the course</li><li><strong>Expertise</strong> – in turf care, equipment, and greenkeeping practices</li></ul><p>We’re looking for someone who lives these values every day and brings them to life in how they work.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>How You’ll Make an Impact</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance and occasional landscape development across the golf course.</li><li>Operate and oversee the use of machinery, tools, and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.</li><li>Maintain and review Health &amp; Safety assessments, ensuring compliance with company processes.</li><li>Support the Site Manager with managing budgets, including staffing, equipment, and course development plans.</li><li>Take responsibility for maintaining high standards across the driving range, including ball collection and upkeep of facilities.</li><li>Provide clear direction, leadership, and mentoring to the assistant greenkeeper.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in golf course and turf management.</li><li>NVQ Level 3 in Greenkeeping (or equivalent qualification) desirable.</li><li>Strong knowledge of greenkeeping practices and machinery operation.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, monitor, and deliver high standards.</li><li>A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.</li><li>Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance.</li><li>Leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>At American Golf, we value people as individuals with diverse opinions, cultures, and circumstances.
