<p><strong>What is the role</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Working closely with the in-house studio team, including stylists and photographers, to ensure makeup aligns with the creative vision of each shoot.&nbsp; Interpret and execute looks that reflect the brand’s identity, staying within established guidelines and briefs.</p><p>Primarily based at the in-house fashion studio, preparing models for e-commerce, and campaign shoots.&nbsp; Occasionally travel to on-location shoots, adapting makeup to suit different environments and lighting conditions.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you will do</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Produce consistent, high-quality hair and make-up in response to briefs for ecommerce and creative.</li><li>Working at pace throughout the day reacting to any changes as the shoot progresses.</li><li>Will be required to attend location shoots supporting the creative team with the delivery on campaign imagery.</li><li>Maintenance and provision of HMU workstations and equipment, sourcing consumables and other kit.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to interpret style guides and a range of bespoke briefs to deliver consistent standards across sets.</li><li>Support team leads and management to develop and progress specifications in response to briefs.</li><li>Expert level of technical and creative application of skills to manipulate hair &amp; make-up on set.</li><li>Understand impacts of continuous and strobe lighting on model’s skin and hair, with the ability to offer suggestions and solutions.</li><li>Expertise with fake tan issues/inconsistencies.</li><li>Proactively respond to feedback and quality assurance issues and actions.</li><li>Continuously improve, always working expanding own skillset and ability.</li><li>Suggest skin/hair care routines to our models if they are regularly turning up with issues.</li><li>Maintain awareness of health and safety issues and legislation.</li><li>Ensuring the relevant hygiene routines and followed before and after a shoot.</li><li>Will be required to attend shoots both nationally and internationally and will be required to work unsociable hours.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you will bring</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant qualification in hair &amp; makeup subject.</li><li>Experience in the studio and production industry with an understanding of production processes.</li><li>Expertise gained from both inhouse and agency studios experience.</li><li>Understanding of industry best practice.</li><li>Awareness of current and emerging HMU trends</li><li>Experience of working on set with creative teams.</li><li>Calm under pressure and skilled in contributing to high pressure shoots and pre-production activity build up.</li><li>Assess ever changing situations and make informed decisions and recommendations for own area.</li><li>Experience of collaborating with both creative and operational functions.</li><li>Established relationships with HMU agencies and partners.</li><li>Experience of risk assessment for HMU disciplines</li><li>Be highly organised and have good presentation skills.</li><li>Proven ability to work well within a team and to use own initiative.</li><li>Proven record of good attendance and flexibility.</li><li>High energy and enthusiasm to succeed.</li><li>PC &amp; Mac Operating Systems</li><li>Basic understanding of MS365 and Adobe CC software.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em><strong>Please include link to your portfolio with the application, or include with your CV</strong></em></p>
