<!-- Introduction --><div class="feature-text"><h2> Your new role</h2><p><br></p><p>Think Customer</p><ul><li><p>Working within our Lincoln House Site, you will ensure that trailers of furniture are moved between locations in a safe and professional manner</p></li><li><p>Always working in a safe and professional manner, you will ensure that there is no damage to the furniture whilst it is of your responsibility.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Ensuring full fleet capacity by ensuring vehicles and trailers are presented to workshops on time for PMI/MOT</p></li></ul><p><br>Aim High</p><ul><li><p>Work with the warehouse and transport teams to ensure that equipment is presented for loading, unloading and parked for onward delivery in a safe and timely manner</p></li><li><p>Ensure SoDelCo/DFS and third party hauliers on site are compliant with site rules, parking in designated areas and correct PPE.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Represent values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do</p></li><li><p>Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer</p></li><li><p>Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicle and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects and/or damage immediately</p></li><li><p>Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures</p></li><li><p>Fully understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of driving hours, tachograph and the road transport directive</p></li><li><p>Ensure that any damages to your vehicle, customer property, or furniture is reported your manager as soon as possible, following the correct reporting processes</p></li><li><p>Work in line with The Group’s policies and procedure</p></li></ul><p>This role is for you if:</p><ul><li><p>Uphold brilliant standards of personal presentation every day</p></li><li><p>Professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers</p></li><li><p>Physically able to complete the requirements of the role</p></li><li><p>Able to manage and organise a busy transport yard</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Experience of working as part of a strong, well-functioning team&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Able to correctly operate a tachograph with a full understanding of UK Transport Law</p></li><li><p>A knowledge of daily vehicle maintenance</p></li><li><p>Hold a UK Driving license with HGV Entitlement - Class 1 HGV Driver entitlement / C+E licence</p></li><li><p>No more than 6 points on your license with no major endorsements</p></li><li><p>Valid Digital tachograph card</p></li><li><p>Tachograph and RTD management to be accurate</p></li><li><p>CPC Card</p></li></ul></div><!-- Package Description --><div><h3>About DFS</h3><p>It takes a whole lot of passion to be at the centre of what makes a house feel like home — and that’s just what we do at DFS.
