<p><strong>What is the role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>As the group Financial Controller, the role will involve working closely with the CFO, overseeing both financial and management reporting, managing transaction processing functions such as in-house accounts payable and receivable, leading the audit process, and being responsible for internal controls.</p><p>You will oversee a team comprising two direct reports and three indirect reports, playing a pivotal role in the financial processing for the business and own the implementation of a new finance system.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you will do</strong></p><p><strong>Financial Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Own the production of timely and accurate monthly financial and management accounts, and statutory reporting.</li><li>Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control across the business.</li></ul><p><strong>Controls &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.</li><li>Manage external audits and liaise with auditors and advisors.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Development</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and mentor a talented finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.</li><li>Support team development through coaching, training, and clear goal setting.</li></ul><p><strong>Process &amp; Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.</li><li>Implement a new finance system and embed automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you will bring</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.</li><li>Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within retail or consumer goods.</li><li>Demonstrated success delivering systems upgrades or implementations.</li><li>Strong understanding of multichannel retail operations and inventory accounting.</li><li>Effective people manager with a coaching-led approach.</li><li>Strong technical skills and an eye for process improvement.</li><li>Enjoys thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.</li><li>Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Hands-on, proactive, and commercially minded.</li></ul>
