We're looking for a <span class="s2"><strong>Finance Operations Manager</strong></span> to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, process automation, and financial insight.</p><p class="p3">This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with people management, while transforming processes through innovation and technology. </p><h3><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></h3><ul class="MailOutline"><li><span class="s1">Month &amp; Year-End</span> - Lead period-end closing for AP/AR, delivering accurate reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li><span class="s1">Reporting &amp; Analysis</span> - Produce and review financial reports (aging, cashflow, vendor performance) to support decision-making.</li><li><span class="s1">Compliance &amp; Controls</span> - Maintain robust financial controls across cash management, expenses, tax (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax) and audit requirements.</li><li><span class="s1">Team Leadership</span> - Manage and develop Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong performance.</li><li><span class="s1">Financial Operations</span> - Oversee all AP/AR processes including invoice and payment runs, billing, reconciliations, and cash management.</li><li><span class="s1">Process Transformation</span> - Identify and implement automation, AI, and other technologies to streamline operations and boost efficiency.</li><li><span class="s1">Vendor &amp; Working Capital Management</span> - Negotiate supplier terms, manage vendor relationships, and optimise working capital.</li><li><span class="s1">Training &amp; Development</span> - Coach, support and upskill your team, ensuring growth and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3><strong>What we're looking for</strong></h3><ul class="MailOutline"><li>Team Management Experience</li><li>Strong background in process automation and financial system improvements.</li><li>Excellent Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation).</li><li>Ability to create clear, accurate financial reports to inform business decisions.</li><li>Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and tax regulations.</li><li>Commercially aware, with experience providing financial insights that impact strategy.</li><li>Awareness of how AI can be applied in financial operations.</li><li>Experience managing AP/AR teams with a proven record of delivering results. </li></ul><h3><strong>What's on offer</strong></h3><ul><li>£60,000 - £65,000</li><li>Generous employee discounts.</li><li>Incentive and reward schemes.</li><li>Cycle to work and discounted gym membership.</li><li>Apprenticeship and industry training opportunities.</li><li>Career development and structured training programmes.</li><li>28 days paid annual leave plus options to buy additional days</li></ul><p>Zachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
