<dt class="rm-fieldTitle">Description</dt><dd class="rm-fieldData"><p><strong>Finance Manager | Merseyside | Convenience Retail</strong></p><div><p>Zachary Daniels Recruitment are delighted to be supporting this well established convenience retailer in the appointment of a Finance Manager to help facilitate a period of sustained growth and investment.</p><p>As Finance Manager your role will blend Management Accounting with business partnering alongside the requirement to roll your sleeves up when required.</p><p><strong><strong>Finance Manager </strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><div><ul class="MailOutline"><li>Own the month-end process, management accounts, and reconciliations</li><li>Deliver detailed variance analysis, commentary, and reporting packs</li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;">Lead budgeting and forecasting across store operations and support group planning</span></li><li>Provide financial modelling and analysis for commercial decisions and strategic projects</li><li>Maintain strong control of cash flow, working capital, and cost management</li><li>Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Partner with operational leaders to drive performance and efficiency</li><li>Act as the key finance contact for the MD</li></ul><strong>Typical Background:</strong></div><div><ul class="MailOutline"><li>Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)</li><li>Minimum 5-6 years of progressive finance experience</li><li>Strong foundation in both financial control and FP&amp;A</li><li>Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills</li><li>Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicating across all levels</li><li>Experience working closely with senior leadership, ideally in a retail or fmcg setting</li></ul></div><p><strong>Desirable Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>FMCG experience</li><li>Entrepreneurial spirit</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Business Partnering Experience</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial</li></ul><p>BBBH34290</p></div><p> </p></dd>
