Your role will be instrumental in developing, streamlining, documenting, and embedding updated financial processes and controls to eliminate and mitigate process risk. Your contributions will ensure the provision of high-quality supporting information through month-end, facilitating effective decision-making and playing a crucial role in the statutory audit process. </p><p>You will be an essential member of our financial reporting team, responsible for reviewing financial data, statutory and external reporting, month-end activities, and enhancing processes, policies, and controls to ensure compliance and deliver maximum value to The Works. Your expertise and proactive approach will be key to our success, empowering us to achieve our goals with confidence.</p><p></p><hr><h4>Your Mission<br></h4><ul> <li>Deliver timely and accuratefinancial reporting to empower informed decision-making.</li> <li>Take charge of the property andcapex balance sheet and related P&amp;L lines. Maintain the Fixed Asset register forthe Group, covering all property, plant, and equipment. Ensure systemsallow property assets to be reported at cost or valuation, with allcomponent accounting entries recorded accurately.</li> <li>Collaborate with the financialprocessing team to understand property-related costs, such as utilities, andsuggest improvements to drive cost efficiencies and enhance controls.</li> <li>Lead the month-end process, including posting journals andcompleting balance sheet reconciliations.</li> <li>Analyse monthly reports, providing variance analysis, andfoster a close working relationship with the commercial finance team.</li> <li>Contribute to the preparation of interim and annual financialaccounts and support the year-end audit process.</li> <li>Provide financial analysis and interpret information to makestrategic recommendations to management.</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts.</li> <li>Continuously seek to improveprocesses.</li> <li>Support the wider financialreporting team as needed.</li></ul><ul></ul><hr><h3>Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart<br></h3><p>Part Qualified Accountant</p><ul><li>Experience of working in a financial reporting team</li><li>Experience of capex and property balance sheet topics desirable</li><li>Retail experience desirable</li></ul><p>Skills &amp; Experience: </p><ul><li>Proactive, you demonstrate a willingness to learn and ask for support when required.
