<h4></h4><div class="job-descriptionjs-job-description"><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Compliance Manager</strong> to join our Risk &amp; Compliance team here at N Brown where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the organisation&nbsp;complies with&nbsp;all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards.</p> <p>The Compliance Manager plays a key role in&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;and mitigating compliance risks, fostering a culture of compliance, and supporting business operations within the legal and regulatory framework, with an absolute focus on delivering good customer outcomes.</p> <p><strong>What will you do as a Compliance Manager?</strong></p> <p><strong>Regulatory Compliance&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure adherence to FCA, GDPR, UK Bribery Act, AML regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.</li> <li>Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and work with business stakeholders to implement changes accordingly.</li> <li>Liaise with regulators and manage regulatory reporting requirements.</li> <li>Prepare applications for FCA permissions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Policy Development &amp; Implementation&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures.</li> <li>Ensure policies are embedded across the organisation and reflect current regulations.</li> <li>Ensure policies and business standards are up to date and prepared in good time to get the appropriate approval.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Risk Management&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify&nbsp;compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Conduct&nbsp;compliance&nbsp;risk assessments and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;risk registers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Training &amp; Awareness&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design compliance training modules.</li> <li>Promote a culture of compliance and ethical&nbsp;behaviour.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Crime &amp; Conduct Risk&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the MLRO in&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;AML frameworks and training.</li> <li>Oversee conduct risk and consumer duty frameworks.</li> <li>Work with Fraud business areas to ensure good outcomes for customers and impacted parties.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What skills and experience will you have?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of UK financial services regulations with particular knowledge of the FCA Handbook, CCA, GDPR, etc.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a project team.</li> <li>Effective communicator with&nbsp;ability&nbsp;to influence at all levels.</li> <li>High attention to detail and&nbsp;excellent organisational skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.</li> <li>Professional certifications desirable (ICA or similar).</li> <li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in a compliance role within UK financial services.</li> <li>Experience of preparing FCA permissions applications preferable.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience of organising team affairs and scheduled outputs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What’s in it for you?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hybrid working&nbsp;&nbsp;(3 days in the office at a minimum)</li> <li>24 days holiday (+ 8 bank holidays)</li> <li>Annual bonus scheme</li> <li>Enhanced maternity and adoption leave</li> <li>Company pension with up to 8% N Brown contribution</li> <li>Mental Health support both internally and externally, including access to our wellbeing champions and counselling services</li> <li>A range of financial wellbeing support</li> <li>Colleague discount across all N Brown brands</li> <li>Onsite café with subsidised rates and local restaurant discounts!</li> <li>Life Assurance and Private Medical Insurance</li> <li>Paid volunteer time – all our colleagues can take a full day paid to volunteer for a charity of their choice</li> </ul> <p><strong>N Brown – who we are and why work for us?</strong></p> <p>At N Brown, we’re committed to building a diverse workforce and creating an inclusive environment that values equality for all.
