<p>We are looking to recruit a Canteen Supervisor&nbsp;who will be responsible for preparing hot &amp; cold food as well as supervising our canteen at our distribution centre in Bristol, Avonmouth.</p><p>We offer a permanent Full Time&nbsp;position working a variety of shifts between 6am&nbsp;- 6pm (6am - 2pm, 8am - 4pm, 10am - 6pm) any 5 days from 7 (Including Weekends).&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Pay, working hours &amp; benefits:</strong></p><p>We offer an hourly pay rate of £15.71&nbsp;and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.&nbsp;If you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the below.</strong></p><p>- Supervise all colleagues working in the canteen.&nbsp;</p><p>- Order all food items to stock the canteen.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>- Ensure that the canteen is re-stocked as necessary.&nbsp;</p><p>- Monitor the items to ensure the canteen is not over stocked.&nbsp;</p><p>- Ensure that all hazardous materials are safely stored.&nbsp;</p><p>- Ensure that the canteen areas provide a safe working environment for all.&nbsp;</p><p>- Ensure that all health regulations are complied with.&nbsp;</p><p>- Maintain appropriate canteen records as required.&nbsp;</p><p>- To maintain good order in dining areas.</p><p>- Coordinate the daily operation of the canteen and oversee the preparation of food and counter services.</p><p>- Identify stock requirements and place orders with appropriate vendors on a regular basis.</p><p>- Participate in regular stocktake, recording and reporting processes.</p><p>- Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the canteen and associated catering operations including filing of ordering, receipt and associated documentation.</p><p>- Ensure food storage and handling is appropriate, hygienic and in accordance with the standards outlined by health controlling authorities within relevant legislation and regulations.</p><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><p>This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential.&nbsp;Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and posses general numeracy and literacy skills.</p><p>Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.</p><p>In return for your commitment you&nbsp;will be rewarded with benefits such as:</p><ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)</li><li>Staff discount</li><li>Free life assurance&nbsp;</li></ul><p>We welcome applications from Army, Navy and Royal Air Force service leavers and veterans into our distribution&nbsp;operations and work in partnership with Hire a Hero to support service leavers with their transition into civilian life.</p><p><strong>A bit about us:</strong></p><p>Farmfoods are a family business with ambition.
