<div data-v-0e62ab25="" class="flex xs12"><div data-v-0e62ab25=""><p id="isPasted" style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Swimming is one of the most popular activities we run at our YMCA Camp Williams school holiday club. &nbsp;We take the children swimming multiple times each week across our 5 different groups. Each group swims at least twice a week, and sessions are inclusive of all abilities and experience levels.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">We are looking for dedicated Swim Co-ordinator's to provide additional support and oversight before and during the swimming sessions.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Working during the school holidays, Monday to Friday around 15 hours per week, 1:15pm - 4:15pm each day (with some flexibility!) you will:</span></p><ul type="disc"><li style="font-size: 16px;">Manage and coordinate the Swim Support staff who are in the pool with the children.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Work with the Camp Co-ordinator to ensure rota’s are covered to give you enough staff to deliver the session.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Provide instructions and guidance to the Swim Support staff prior to the session starting. Working from the Swimming Standards already in place.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Swim Test the children to allocated them to the correct group based on their swimming ability.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Assign coloured wrist bands to the children, ensuring appropriate ratio’s are maintained at all times.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The Portland Centre provide Lifeguards relevant to the amount of people in the pool, however you will also be poolside (unless needed in ratio) while the children swim to ensure good behaviour and supervision of children is maintained throughout the session. Safeguarding is of upmost importance to us and you will provide an additional level of oversight and support when needed.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">You will need to wear appropriate clothing for the activity – shorts and t-shirt (a YMCA staff t-shirt will be provided to be worn over swimwear so you can be easily identifiable).</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Camp Williams runs from The Becket School. you will be based here every day, accompanying the children and Swim Support leaders on the short coach journey to The Portland Centre.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">We require someone with a Swimming Instructor/Teaching background who holds a minimum Swim England Level 2 certificate.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">This role would suit you if you are looking for additional work during the school holidays between your studies or other employment that leaves you free during non-term time.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">You will need to be able to commit to this role to ensure the safety and well-being of the children at Camp is maintained at all times.
