This is a key role within the store leadership team, supporting the Store Manager to ensure the business trades in a safe, legal and commercially successful manner.</p><p class="xp3">As an <span class="xs1">Assistant Manager</span>, you will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of a large format store. You will support all areas of compliance and trading standards, including stock management, waste and shrink control, labour management, rota planning and health &amp; safety, while leading from the front to deliver excellent store standards and customer service.</p><p class="xp4"><strong>Key responsibilities as an Assistant Manager:</strong></p><ul class="xMailOutline"><li>Support the Store Manager in delivering high operational, commercial and compliance standards</li><li>Lead, motivate and inspire the team to achieve store objectives</li><li>Take shared responsibility for all operational aspects of the store</li><li>Support audits and training to ensure safe and legal compliance</li><li>Assist with rota planning, hours control and labour efficiency</li><li>Drive cost control, shrink reduction and waste management</li><li>Act as a visible leader on the shop floor, setting standards and leading by example</li></ul><p class="xp3">As this is a management role, we are seeking a proven retail leader with experience in <span class="xs1">fast-paced large format or big box retail environments</span>.
