<p>Are you a <strong>Veterinary Surgeon</strong> seeking a unique and impactful role away from a public-facing environment? Join our dedicated team at Newbrook Animal Hospital, our flagship site near Birmingham, and make a real difference to animals most in need.</p><p>This <strong>full-time (35 hours per week) fixed-term positio</strong>n involves working directly with RSPCA Inspectors, Animal Centre staff, and other charities to assess and rehabilitate animals rescued from cruelty and neglect. You'll provide essential veterinary care and advice, contributing to their journey towards adoption.</p><ul><li aria-level="1"><strong>Daily Shifts:</strong> On a rota basis; work seven-hour shifts, either from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (day) or 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM (evening), with on-call duties for inpatients only with qualified nurses on site 24/7.</li><li aria-level="1"><strong>On-Call & Weekend Rota:</strong> Participate in a 1:7 weekend rota, providing time off with the following Monday and Tuesday. This promotes a healthy work-life balance.</li></ul><p><span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);"><strong>About Newbrook Animal Hospital (Birmingham):</strong></span></p><p>Located in a charming rural setting amidst 70 acres of countryside, Newbrook Animal Hospital offers excellent motorway access, just a 20-minute drive from central Birmingham. Our friendly and enthusiastic team comprises 11 Veterinary Surgeons, 22 RVNs, and 9 veterinary care assistants. We are passionate about personal development and fostering a thriving, supportive environment. This includes daily 15-minute clinical vet rounds (Monday-Friday) for case discussions and a weekly 15-minute Hospital meeting for general updates. We are well-equipped with separate cat, dog and small furries wards and a wide range of modern equipment.</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">As part of this role you will also receive: </span></p><ul><li aria-level="1"><strong>Continuous Professional Development (CPD):</strong> 5 days of CPD and a £1000 allowance (pro rata).
