<p>We are looking to recruit a full time Transport Supervisor at our&nbsp;distribution centre&nbsp;in Cumbernauld.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Pay, working hours &amp; benefits:</strong></p><p>The hours of work for this role will be either the day shifts 6am - 6pm or the night shifts 6pm - 6am on a 4 on 4 off basis. However, we do require some flexibility as the successful candidate will also be expected to cover sickness / holidays&nbsp;</p><p>We will offer a competitive of £32,000&nbsp;however this can be discussed/negotiated at an interview stage,</p><p><strong>In addition to your pay you will also benefit from:</strong></p><ul><li>30 days annual leave (pro-rata).</li><li>Regular breaks during your shift.&nbsp;</li><li>Full training provided.</li><li>Free canteen facilities.</li><li>15% staff discount to use in any of our 300+ shops on a great range of food and household essentials.</li><li>A smart uniform and all PPE provided at no cost to you.</li><li>Free life assurance.</li><li>Workplace pension.</li></ul><p><strong>As one of our Transport Supervisors you will:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor all delivery runs, ensure that drivers are making deliveries on time and communicate with stores regarding any delays.</li><li>Plan loads for the following days’ work, ensuring that kit is used as fully and efficiently as possible.</li><li>Address performance issues or training needs.</li><li>Liaise with the wider team at the depot to ensure that operational requirements are met.</li><li>Issue progress updates to all appropriate persons. Where necessary provide detail regarding usage of kit and confirming that stores have been notified of time changes.</li><li>Maintain ongoing coaching and support for Transport Clerks.</li><li>Providing a safe working environment for all by adhering to H&amp;S procedures and ensuring they are understood and practised by the team.</li><li>Ensuring compliance of Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) and ensuring the department continuously achieves a high level of customer focus &amp; service.</li></ul><p><strong>You will need:</strong></p><ul><li>A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.</li><li>Experience of working in a Transport environment;</li><li>Knowledge of UK geography and road network;</li><li>Experience of using a WMS;</li><li>A proven track record of cost savings, productivity costs, quality control and error reduction;</li><li>Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills;</li><li>Ability to communicate in an open and honest manner with the team;</li><li>Flexibility to work various shift patterns in response to customer demand.</li><li>A HGV Licence is desirable not&nbsp;essential.</li></ul><p><strong>A bit about us:</strong></p><p>Farmfoods are a family business with ambition.
