Our warehouse operatives are multiskilled and expected to work across all areas of the warehouse and, as a Driver you would be part of that team. Whilst you will be required to drive between our warehouses and Head Office in Peterborough there will also be a requirement to drive to our stores across the UK from time to time, which may include overnight stays. When not needed to drive then you will support the warehouse team within Goods In and Despatch and also on the core elements of picking and packing.&nbsp; Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will achieve daily and weekly set targets in all given tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner whilst adhering to our standards of conduct and quality at all times.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>Adhere to the given instructions and requirements of health &amp; safety to ensure that yourself and colleagues remain safe at all times. Driving safely and in adherence to the laws and safe driving requirements, and keeping the vehicle clean and tidy</p><p>Loading and unloading goods vehicles adhering to safe working practices at all times</p><p>Report missing, broken or misplaced items when necessary</p><p>Dealing politely and courteously with team members and suppliers</p><p><strong>Picking</strong></p><p>Using baskets and cages to gather the goods for multiple customer or store orders at a time. Ensuring that all available stock is collected to fulfil the order</p><p>Follow a pre-determined pick path to collect &amp; scan single items and multi packs of clothing, outerwear, underwear and footwear</p><p>Report missing or misplaced items when necessary</p><p>Picking involves walking long distances, manual handling of products and cages and the ability to use ladders to retrieve items from higher locations</p><p><strong>Packing</strong></p><p>Scanning, sorting and consolidating items from cages to form customer parcels.</p><p>Using the computer and printer to check items are correct and package them for dispatch to the customer</p><p>Ensure that the correct packaging and inserts are used depending on the brand, size, destination and despatch method.</p><p>Loading packages into cages for transportation</p><p>Packing involves standing, bending &amp; manual handling of products and movement of cages and boxes</p><p><strong>Side Packing</strong></p><p>Receiving and processing returned packages from stores and customers</p><p>Checking item are in a saleable condition and using the computer system to check the garments are correctly labelled and received</p><p>Carrying out necessary work required to repackage the items for resale including de-tagging, retagging, folding and packaging</p><p>Scanning and stacking the items to ensure that the stock is allocated appropriately and swiftly</p><p>Side packing involves standing &amp; manual handling of products and movement of cages and boxes</p><p><strong>Putaway</strong></p><p>Using baskets, boxes and cages to move &amp; place goods into picking locations</p><p>Scanning items and allocating a location ensuring that the information matches the physical and system location to enable correct picking</p><p>Placing boxes and single items of clothing, outerwear, underwear and footwear onto shelves, into racking and into random box locations</p><p>Putaway involves walking long distances, manual handling of products and cages and the ability to use ladders to place items into higher locations</p><p>Other warehouse functions of Goods In, Customer refunds, preparing stock for new store openings, PI functions and the coordination of equipment and people may be required from time to time.
