We encourage entrepreneurial ideas and accountability at all levels.</p><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><p>You’ll be a creative and motivated Design Intern eager to learn and grow within the fashion industry. You will have completed a Textile, Print or Fashion related degree and have a passion for surface pattern and print. Whilst some experience is preferable, it’s not required. If you are hardworking, have initiative, and a passion for design, we would love to hear from you!</p><p><strong>Primary objective of the job:</strong></p><p>You will be working closely with the Print & Design Team to assist in all aspects of the design process and seamless running of the design department. Your time will be split across both print and product, working 2 days a week with our garment designers, and 3 days a week with our print team across Womenswear, Menswear and Accessories.</p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></p><p>· Researching key trends, colours and print inspiration to assist in the creation of innovate and individual designs.</p><p>· Assisting with the production of print artworks including tiling, colour separating and factory tech packs. Proficiency in photoshop and illustrator is required.</p><p>· Keeping up-to-date colour palettes & boards for each collection, ensuring that palettes are available to everyone, boards are updated regularly and in time for key meetings and that our Pantone inventory is kept stocked.</p><p>· Working with the Design Assistant to correctly format and file print pages with all key information relating to scale, colour and print name.</p><p>· Working with the buying team to deliver our MFO range, recolouring prints and sending out in a factory ready format.</p><p>· Keeping an up-to-date record of collection photographs/print story boards after range review sign off meetings for future reference and distributing to relevant team members.</p><p>· Keeping an up-to-date record of all bought samples and bought prints.</p><p>· Maintaining the print archive by correctly filing and hanging antique/vintage samples, artworks and print hangers.</p><p>· Ensuring all design boards are filed neatly and in a presentable state, keeping a record of any that are dismantled for future reference.</p><p>· Assisting with Garment CADs - It is important that you are proficient in Adobe Illustrator to create flat Garment CADs that can be filled with print & colour. This will also include assisting with CADs for our Wholesale Team / creating range plans & adding garment names with item codes for their Wholesale Look Book.</p><p>· Assisting with the production of garment worksheets including, CAD sketches, detailed descriptions or garment and spec measurements.</p><p>· Liaising with factories and supplier contacts to check on sampling status/sample deadlines/print queries and ensuring deadlines are met.</p><p>· Organisation of proto sample rails – ensuring proto sample rails are kept by department in an organised way.</p><p>· General admin including ordering stationary/paper and post being sent out to suppliers - keeping records of AWB numbers for tracking.</p><p><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></p><p>· A positive can-do attitude</p><p>· A good understanding of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.</p><p>· Excellent organisational skills.</p><p>· Able to adapt and learn quickly, working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>· A good eye for colour and an understanding of the brand handwriting and product vision.</p><p>· Excellent hand sketching/painting skills.</p><p>· An understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes is a bonus!</p><p><strong>What we will offer you:</strong></p><p>As a Design Intern at White Stuff you will be entitled to an array of great benefits, some of which include:</p><p>· Hybrid working</p><p>· Quarterly/Annual bonus opportunity</p><p>· Up to 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays </p><p>· 50% discount</p><p>· Subsidised BUPA Dental Insurance</p><p>· Healthcare cash plan and Life Assurance</p><p>· Interest free season ticket loan</p><p>· Pension Contribution</p><p></p><p></p><p>We are committed to creating an environment where we can all be proud to work and be ourselves.
