The ideal candidate will thrive from working in a fast-paced environment and will have extensive knowledge of our competitor’s ranges.</p></div></div></div><h2 class="iCIMSInfoMsg iCIMSInfoFieldJob">What You'll Be Doing</h2><div class="iCIMSInfoMsg iCIMSInfoMsgJob"><div class="iCIMSExpandableContainer"><div class="iCIMSExpandableText"><ul><li>Supports buyer to build a balanced, commercial, and profitable range and assists on all aspects of the day to day running of the department.</li><li>Building excellent relationships with the supply base and using best negotiation skills.</li><li>Building excellent brand relationships with our wholesale partners.</li><li>Works closely with Assistant Merchandiser to review department performance and develop areas for improvement.</li><li>Builds effective working relationships both internally and externally.</li><li>Keeps up to date with current trends, brands & competition.</li><li>Buys own product area under the guidance of senior buyer.</li><li>Organises department meetings internally and externally.</li><li>Manages the critical path ensuring all stock is received in a timely manner.</li><li>Manages BA independently from buyer and seeks to improve ways of driving department effectiveness through training, communication, and feedback.</li><li>Clearly communicates with team and cross- functional departments within the business.</li><li>Understanding of current trade, analysis and future strategy.
