<div><span style="font-size: 13px;">We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Butchery Manager to join our Butchery team at our Wychbold Garden Centre.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Reporting to the Group Food &amp; Beverage Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the butchery provision and team.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">The role involves:</span></div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Working as part of the team in a hands-on capacity to prepare and cut meat and poultry.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Leading and managing a small team responsible. Delegating tasks effectively, providing training on butchery and ensuring that high standards of customer service are upheld. Motivating the team and managing their schedules, ensuring adequate coverage in the department.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Working with the Kitchen team to maximise production of ‘ready to eat lines’.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Monitoring sales and margin performance and taking action to ensure targets are met.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Maximising opportunities for merchandising, production and supply of products in our Food Hall and Restaurants.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Creating inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Ensuring self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Working with the kitchen and management teams to keep on top of food trends.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Proactively sharing product information with the team and with customers.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Manage rotas in line with wage budget.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Fulfilling all trade standards legislation.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Ensuring equipment and tasks are risk assessed and that training and supervision procedures are followed.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Working in collaboration with colleagues across the wider Webbs teams.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Participating in stocktakes, meetings and training as required.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span style="font-size: 13px;">The successful candidate will have:</span></div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Previous butchery experience.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Be credible and confident in their butchery knowledge ideally supported by a relevant qualification such as Butchery Level 2 and trained/willing to train to at least Food Hygiene Level 3.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Retail sales experience.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>A passion for delivering a great customer experience.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Experience of visual merchandising and have a flare for creating dramatic and interesting displays.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Experience of leading, managing and motivating the team, ensuring that they exercise their responsibilities in full.&nbsp;</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>High quality standards and an eye for detail.</div><div>•<span style="white-space:pre"> </span>Exceptional IT and organisational skills.</div><div><br>This is a full time and permanent position, working on average 39.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).&nbsp; It will include&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">working some early mornings and evenings.
