<h2>About the role</h2><p><strong>An exciting opportunity has arisen for nightshift warehouse operatives to join Booker on a permanent contract with a 16 week probationary period. </strong></p><p>Colleagues will be required to work an average of 40 hours per week.</p><p>The successful candidates will be required to work: </p><p>Nightshift 22.00pm-06.00am, Sunday to Thursday/Monday to Friday</p><p>You will receive shift premiums, which are calculated on the basic hours that are worked between the following bands: </p><p> 18.00 - 23.59 hours 15%</p><p> 00.00 - 05.59 hours 25%</p><p> Saturday and Sunday 20%</p><p>Hours worked between 06.00 and 17.59 are classed as day shift and attract no premium. </p><p>Shift premium is not paid on any overtime hours. </p><p>You will also participate in the site incentive scheme which is related to an individuals performance. </p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>To receive, pick and load goods correctly in accordance with safe standards of work instructions</p><p>To operate all manual and mechanical handling equipment correctly and safely to avoid damage to goods, property or people</p><p>Daily pre-equipment checks before use, reporting any faults immediately to a manager</p><p>Report dangerous stacking, racking damage, obstructions and any other danger or irregularities immediately to a manager</p><p>Assist in the issue of any paperwork, documentation as required</p><p>Undergo any training when required by the Company</p><p>Any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business</p><h2>You will need</h2><p>As a warehouse operative, being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment is essential. You should be hardworking, able to work to set deadlines, and have a professional, positive, organized, and enthusiastic approach. While proven experience in a warehouse environment would be advantageous, it is not essential. You should be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
