<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role</h3><p>The Talent Attraction Manager is responsible for attracting the very best candidates to Matalan and shaping and delivering Matalan’s end-to-end recruitment strategy. Leading a team of talented in-house recruitment teams and managing senior-level hiring, you will ensure a consistent and inclusive candidate experience across all roles. </p><p>You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders, delivering high-quality recruitment solutions that meet both current and future business needs. This role also owns our employer brand and attraction approach, ensuring we’re telling a clear and compelling story about what it’s like to work at Matalan. </p><p>Collaboration and credibility are key – you’ll influence at all levels, develop others and champion inclusive hiring at every stage.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><p>Strategy and delivery:</p><ul><li>Create and lead a highly engaged recruitment team who are passionate about sourcing, attracting and delivering great candidates.</li><li>Lead and coach the recruitment team to deliver an inclusive and candidate-focused service across all business areas. </li><li>Design and execute a multi-year strategy aligned to business goals.</li><li>Manage senior-level recruitment (Head of and Director level) working directly with the exec and leadership teams to identify, attract and secure great talent through headhunting and targeted sourcing strategies.</li><li>Partner with senior leaders to understand workforce needs and align hiring plans with business priorities, using proactive sourcing and talent pools to meet future demands.</li></ul><p>Employer brand and attraction: </p><ul><li>Champion an inclusive and engaging candidate experience across all touchpoints ensuring it reflects who we are as a business and what we stand for.</li><li>Shape and evolve Matalan’s employer brand and attraction strategy, continuously evolving our positioning to support business needs and talent priorities.</li><li>Lead marketing and outreach campaigns across digital, social and in-person channels to reach and engage diverse audiences.</li><li>Build and maintain a diverse network of candidates across multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks and industry-specific events.</li><li>Ensure external messaging reflects our brand, values, culture and DEI&B commitments.</li></ul><p>Process and performance:</p><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes and systems to drive efficiency, fairness and consistency.</li><li>Monitor recruitment KPIs including time to hire, candidate experience and diversity data,</li><li>Ensure all hiring activity is equitable, inclusive and complaint with policy and best practice.</li></ul><p>Partnership and insight:</p><ul><li>Build strong relationships with hiring managers and people business partners to embed consistent practices across all areas.</li><li>Manage external agency relationships, ensuring quality, value and alignment to our brand.</li><li>Provide regular insights on hiring trends, talent availability and competitor activity to influence decision-making and planning.</li><li>Represent Talent Attraction in cross-functional projects, collaborating across the People Team and business leaders to shape hiring strategies and ensure a seamless handover from recruitment to onboarding</li><li>Deliver a suite of business metrics that enable data-driven decisions.</li></ul><div class="absolute bottom-2 right-2"><button onclick="scrollToTop()" class="theme-primary p-2 rounded-lg flex"> <i translate="no" class="material-symbols-outlined"> arrow_upward </i> </button></div>
