Responsible for the overall management, control, and delivery of business-critical software development projects utilising agile software development practices.</p><p>Based at our office in Raunds, Northamptonshire with home working and some travel expected to our other sites when necessary</p><p><strong>What will I be doing?</strong></p><ul><li>Direct&nbsp;and manage team members, vendors, and external suppliers to deliver the required quality within cost and time constraints, ensuring efficient and effective project execution</li><li>End-to-end management of value stream initiatives with a lifecycle of between 3 to 18 months with multiple deployments during this time.</li><li>Have between 5 to 30 resources working across different competencies (both internal and external parties).</li><li>Own a budget ranging from £50k to £4m.</li><li>Formulate&nbsp;and gain acceptance for annual Value Stream budgets to secure the necessary resources, ensuring that agreed work programs are achieved, and financial targets are met.</li><li>Recruit, motivate, and develop the team to enable them to reach their full potential, ensuring that business and personal objectives are met.</li><li>Relentlessly driving and shaping project delivery practices through continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul><p><strong>What we need from you </strong></p><ul><li>Leadership of software development projects utilising agile software development practices.</li><li>Over 5 years of project management experience and having obtained a PM accreditation i.e. Prince2 and / or APM</li><li>Experience of managing £1m+ budgets.</li><li>Hands-on and recent exposure to Microsoft Project.</li><li>Previous exposure to enterprise IT solutions and services, including infrastructure, software development and cyber security</li><li>Articulate with strong influencing and coaching skills.</li><li>Analytical with the ability to interpret and explain data to a diverse group with high variations in financial knowledge.</li><li>Numerate, tenacious and commercially astute with a strong general technical knowledge.</li><li>Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities and align teams accordingly.</li><li>Results-driven and takes pride in delivering to deadlines</li></ul><p>Applicants with Agile qualifications such as AgilePM are advantageous as is</p><ul><li>Previous line management experience.</li><li>Experience of working for a B2B organisation.</li><li>Experience of managing both CAPEx and OPEx budgets.</li><li>Experience of MS Project Online (AKA Project Server)</li><li>Experience of Azure DevOps or similar (such as JIRA).</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer you: </strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and annual company bonus</li><li>Company car or car allowance</li><li>Private medical insurance</li><li>Excellent pension scheme (company contribution of up to 12%)</li><li>25 days holiday + bank holidays with the option to buy additional days</li><li>Subsidised lunch at our onsite restaurant</li><li>Staff Discount</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Exceptional Reward and Recognition events</li></ul><p><strong>About Howdens:</strong></p><p>Howdens Joinery is the UK’s number one trade kitchen supplier providing thousands of products across kitchens, joinery, and hardware.&nbsp; We have over 900 depots throughout the UK and Europe – making us the first choice for more than 460,000 loyal trade professionals.&nbsp;&nbsp;Last year our sales reached circa 2.3bn, and we have an ambitious growth agenda.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As well as the opportunity to develop within a fast paced and commercial environment, you will be part of a rewarding organisation recognised for excellence in the workplace in the&nbsp;<em>Best Big Companies to Work For.</em></p><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p>Howdens is founded on the principle of being Worthwhile for ALL concerned.
