<dt class="rm-fieldTitle">Description</dt><dd class="rm-fieldData"><p><strong>Plant Fitter - Heavy Plant Equipment<br>Basic Salary + Overtime | Fully Equipped Company Van | Tool &amp; Boot Allowance</strong></p><p>Zachary Daniels is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the heavy plant sector, currently seeking an experienced Plant Fitter due to continued growth.</p><p>This role requires you to be based in or within a commutable distance of Coventry, Leicester, Derby, or Northampton. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of heavy plant machinery used across the quarrying and material processing sectors.</p><h3>What's on Offer:</h3><ul><li><p>40 hours per week with 30 minutes per day allocated for lunch</p></li><li><p>Van, laptop, mobile phone &amp; fuel card provided</p></li><li><p>Nest pension scheme</p></li><li><p>21 days holiday plus bank holidays</p></li><li><p>£25 per night tax-free allowance for food and breakfast when staying away</p></li><li><p>Additional £25 taxed incentive per night away</p></li><li><p>Opportunities for overtime and additional earnings</p></li><li><p>Tool and boot allowance</p></li></ul><h3>What You'll Be Doing:</h3><ul><li><p>Service, repair, and diagnose faults on a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment</p></li><li><p>Perform electrical fault finding and component overhauls</p></li><li><p>Carry out welding and gas cutting where required (advantageous)</p></li><li><p>Work autonomously on customer sites, ensuring high levels of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records of work and communicate clearly with the operations team</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For:</h3><ul><li><p>NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Plant Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)</p></li><li><p>Experience with brands such as Volvo, Caterpillar, Komatsu or similar heavy plant machinery</p></li><li><p>Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical repair skills</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working independently and self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently</p></li><li><p>A full UK driving licence</p></li><li><p>CSCS card, First Aid, and EPIC Quarry Passport are desirable (training can be provided)</p></li></ul><p><strong>BBBH34001</strong></p></dd>
