Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping - we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company.</span></p><br><p><span>In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.</span></p><br><p><span>A bit about the role. </span></p><p><span>As the People Operations Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the employee experience as well as help support the processes and systems of the People and Culture team. This opportunity is a nine month fixed term contract and will involve key people administration tasks across payroll, benefits management systems and the HRIS.</span></p><p><span>This role will be the first point of contact for all parts of the employee lifecycle and will play a key role in supporting and guiding employees through moments like onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, ensuring a positive and people-focused experience at every stage.</span></p><br><p><span>Role responsibilities. </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Support the People & Culture team in delivering a positive employee experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism, ensuring data privacy and compliance with GDPR and internal policies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes, ensuring all processes run smoothly and with a people-first approach.</span></p></li><li><p><span>As part of onboarding, provide basic device procurement and management (laptops & phones as needed). </span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain and update employee records, HR systems (HRIS/ATS), and documentation with a high level of accuracy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in implementation of new systems, including HRIS, ATS and others.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in organising and administering employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and team events.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Administer payroll, ensuring compliance, accuracy and punctual submission.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide day-to-day support for employee queries, ensuring timely, friendly, and helpful responses.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Help prepare and format employee communications, guidebooks, and policy updates.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in gathering and reporting HR data and metrics to support continuous improvement across People processes.</span></p></li></ul><br><br><p><span>You’ll have.</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Some experience as an HR administrator or in people operations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated experience in a commercial and evolving business environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.</span></p></li></ul><br><br><p><span>Diversity and Inclusion. </span></p><p><span>Grind is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
