This is a busy, detail‑led role-perfect for someone who thrives with numbers, deadlines, and working cross-functionally.</p><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>The Role</strong></p><ul><li>End-to-end payroll processing: gather timesheet data, enter changes, calculate salary adjustments, bonuses, and overtime.</li><li>Journal entries: accurately record payroll journals and reconciliations in the Finance system.</li><li>Statutory compliance: prepare and submit PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and other payroll-related filings.</li><li>Payslips & reporting: produce payslips, payroll reports, and summaries, and extract data for management review.</li><li>Employee queries: respond to payroll enquiries with professionalism and clarity.</li><li>System & data maintenance: ensure employee records are up-to-date, manage leavers/joiners, pay changes, and benefits admin.</li><li>Quality control: verify attendance, holiday and sick pay, resolving discrepancies promptly.</li><li>Collaborative support: work closely with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll runs.</li><li>Audit & governance: assist with payroll audit requests and maintain accurate documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong> </p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, ideally within an in-house team or fast-paced environment.</li><li>Solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, auto-enrolment, SMP/SMP, etc.).</li><li>Proficient in payroll software (e.g., Sage, ADP, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.</li><li>Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.</li><li>Clear and friendly communication style, capable of handling confidential queries.</li><li>A proactive and team-oriented attitude, with an openness to learn and support colleagues.</li></ul><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>What's on offer:</strong></p><ul><li>3-month FTC at £38,000 - £45,000 pro-rated (equiv. annual salary) + Benefits </li><li>Gain hands-on payroll experience in a growing travel company.</li><li>Work in a collaborative, professional environment with hybrid flexibility.</li><li>Opportunity to support cross-functional teams and broaden your knowledge.</li><li>Chance to deliver real impact during a critical period.</li><li>Hybrid (1 day from home)</li></ul><p>Zachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
