<div data-v-0e62ab25="" class="flex xs12"><div data-v-0e62ab25=""><p id="isPasted">YMCA Robin Hood provides 24-hour support to homeless young people and adults across Nottingham through our accommodation buildings and network of homes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Housing Duty Manager</strong> to lead and coordinate our Housing Duty Workers across Nottingham. You’ll ensure each shift runs smoothly; supporting residents, maintaining safety and security across our properties, and managing and supporting your team.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Our Housing Duty team are the frontline of our service — the first point of contact for most residents. As Housing Duty Manager, you’ll be there to support both the people we work with and the day-to-day running of our housing services.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Being based predominantly from our Nottingham City Centre buildings, this role is varied and fast-paced. From providing initial support to our residents and incident response to administration, fire safety, security, and cleaning coordination — no two days are ever the same.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>If you enjoy being busy, thinking on your feet, and never knowing quite what will happen next, this role is for you!</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>On a day-to-day basis, your role will include:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Lead and support the Housing Duty Workers during their shifts.</li><li>Allocate resources to cover illness or absence, including travelling yourself to a location in need of additional support.</li><li>Respond to incidents, resolve maintenance/cleaning issues.</li><li>Ensure residents are supported and signposted to the correct services and/or handover notes left for their Support Worker.</li><li>Keep properties safe, secure, and running smoothly.</li><li>Communicate clearly and confidently with both staff and residents.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Previous experience leading a team, ideally in a housing or supported accommodation environment.</li><li>Experience working with vulnerable adults and young people,&nbsp;demonstrating care, empathy and understanding.</li><li>Ability to manage conflict, handle crisis situations calmly, and make quick, practical decisions.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Comfortable working independently, using initiative, and being hands-on.</li><li>Ideally you would have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>You’ll need to be confident, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries. You won’t shy away from tough situations and will be a calm, guiding presence for both your team and residents.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Please note, this is a 24/7 service so there will be a requirement for you to work a flexible rota covering different shift patterns. &nbsp;We are keen to work with you to create a schedule which works for you but we will require you to work a combination of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays overall.</p><p><br>&nbsp;This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
