<dt class="rm-fieldTitle">Description</dt><dd class="rm-fieldData"><p><strong>Zachary Daniels is partnering with a leading, high-growth UK business to recruit a Health &amp; Safety Manager for a newly developed distribution centre in Suffolk.</strong></p><p class="" data-start="496" data-end="829">This is an exciting opportunity to join a major logistics operation at a pivotal point in its growth journey. Now in its second year of operations, the site requires a confident and experienced Health &amp; Safety leader to embed and evolve established practices while driving continuous improvement across health, safety and facilities.</p><p class="" data-start="831" data-end="855"><strong class="" data-start="831" data-end="855">Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul class=""><li class="">Lead the Health, Safety and Facilities agenda across a large-scale distribution centre</li><li class="">Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory legislation, regulations, and internal standards</li><li class="">Drive a proactive safety culture through effective policies, training, and daily routines</li><li class="">Maintain and develop robust systems for Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work, ensuring reviews are conducted and signed off bi-annually</li><li class="">Investigate accidents and incidents, complete timely RIDDOR reporting, and ensure learnings are embedded</li><li class="">Oversee internal audits and support external inspections as the site's HSE lead</li><li class="">Develop and maintain a Health, Safety and Environmental improvement plan with clear, deliverable objectives</li><li class="">Manage facilities contractors and ensure all statutory inspections are completed</li></ul><p class="" data-start="1654" data-end="1680"><strong class="" data-start="1654" data-end="1680">What We're Looking For</strong></p><ul class=""><li class="">NEBOSH Diploma (Part 1) or NVQ Level 4 in Health &amp; Safety (or equivalent)</li><li class="">Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation</li><li class="">Experience in a warehousing, logistics, or industrial environment</li><li class="">Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - especially during the start-up phase</li><li class="">Confident, approachable and collaborative communicator with excellent influencing skills</li><li class="">Solid understanding of facilities and contractor management</li></ul><p class="" data-start="2146" data-end="2318"><strong>If you're a hands-on, motivated Health &amp; Safety professional looking to step into a site leadership role within a dynamic logistics environment, we'd love to hear from you.</strong></p><div class=""><strong>BBBH33945</strong></div></dd>
