As a key member of our small, friendly catering team, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality food service to our hardworking colleagues.</p><h3><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></h3><ul><li>Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold meals, snacks, and beverages</li><li>Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas</li><li>Assisting with food preparation and stock rotation</li><li>Providing excellent customer service to colleagues during meal times</li><li>Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the canteen</li></ul><h3><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></h3><ul><li>Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment</li><li>A positive, can-do attitude and a team-player mindset</li><li>Good communication skills and a friendly approach</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting</li><li>Basic food hygiene knowledge (a certificate is a plus, but not essential)</li></ul><p>If you’re passionate about food, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of an exciting new venture, we’d love to hear from you!</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Ordering of Stock for food preparation and vending machines</li><li>Supporting stock management and stock control</li><li>Code checking and checking quality of stock</li><li>Preparation of food in accordance with food hygiene regulations</li><li>Vending machine replenishment and management (price changes, cleaning and cash collection)</li><li>Hospitality support</li><li>Assisting in maintaining housekeeping in the canteen &amp; kitchen facilities, dining area and Kitchen counters</li><li>Adhere to food hygiene/HACCP/Allegen/COSHH Guidelines at all times</li><li>Maintaining due diligence on temperature controls and code dates</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><p><br></p><ul><li>An excellent attitude towards customer service with a friendly outgoing personality and be used to working within a team environment. 　</li><li>A high standard of presentation and the ability to work within a team producing and serving a varied menu to colleagues and visitors on site</li><li>The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, cook and serve food along with cleaning duties and stock vending machines. 　</li><li>Be able to work 5pm-11pm Monday to Thursday &amp; 2pm-8pm Sunday&nbsp;</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
