Using data-driven insights, you will <strong>optimise inventory levels while maximising product availabili</strong><strong>ty</strong> to meet business demands.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><strong>Maintain stock-holding targets</strong> while ensuring service level targets are consistently met.</li><li><strong>Ensure smooth intake planning</strong> by adhering to established processes and best practices.</li><li><strong>Manage delisted stock and overstocks</strong>, ensuring their value remains within company-set targets.</li><li><strong>Foster strong supplier relationships</strong> through managed and minuted 306090 meetings that drive Collaboration, controlled inventory and end to end efficiency</li><li><strong>Identify seasonal trends</strong> and implement proactive planning to maintain on-shelf availability.</li><li><strong>Monitor market trends</strong> and provide timely, data-driven insights to Supply Planners.</li><li><strong>Communicate sales trends effectively</strong>, ensuring action plans are in place to optimise sales performance.</li><li><strong>Support the successful launch of key new lines</strong>, maximising sales while minimising handling at branches and distribution centres.</li><li><strong>Continuously review Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies</strong> to optimise costs and service levels.</li><li><strong>Oversee promotional planning</strong>, ensuring forecasts are completed on time, addressing issues proactively, reviewing forecast accuracy, and supporting clearance plans post-promotion.</li><li><strong>Lead performance reviews for under-performing suppliers</strong>, driving improvement and accountability.</li><li><strong>Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual reviews</strong> to develop talent, support career progression, and enhance team performance.</li><li><strong>Manage a small portfolio of suppliers</strong>, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.</li><li><strong>Oversee root cause analysis</strong> within the team, ensuring accuracy and implementing corrective measures.</li><li><strong>Escalate and collaborate with IT on system issues</strong>, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li><strong>Extensive experience in FMCG</strong>, including leading and managing high-performing teams.</li><li><strong>Proven ability to work autonomously</strong>, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results.</li><li><strong>Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills</strong>, building strong relationships at all levels.</li><li><strong>Strong problem-solving and commercial decision-making abilities</strong>, with a strategic and analytical mindset.</li><li><strong>Excellent attention to detail</strong>, including report writing, data interpretation, and maintaining accurate records.</li><li><strong>In-depth knowledge of relevant markets</strong>, staying up to date with industry trends and developments.</li><li><strong>Adaptable and flexible approach to work</strong>, adjusting to changing priorities and business needs.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
