<h2>About the role</h2><p>&nbsp;Booker Group is looking for a part-time Internal Communications Co-ordinator to join our Media &amp; Communications team. The role will be require working from our Wellingborough office 1 day per week, with flexible hybrid-working options available from home or other Booker sites.</p><p>This is a 20 hour per week vacancy, with candidates able to share preference on their working days at interview stage.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>This role will support our Internal Communications Manager in creating engaging content for our 15,000+ colleagues across the Booker Group, and delivering key projects for the business.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Helping the Internal Communications Manager to create, maintain, develop and deliver an engaging internal communications plan to our business – including our weekly colleague newsletter, videos, standalone emails and our colleagues intranet.</li><li>Creating clear and consistent framework and templates for internal comms.</li><li>Supporting with uploads to our colleague intranet.</li><li>Working cross-functionally with internal teams (Sustainability, People, Trading etc.) to land meaningful and engaging business comms.</li><li>Supporting with our DEI messaging to colleagues.</li><li>Work with External Communications Co-ordinator to adapt and share reputational messages with colleagues as appropriate.</li><li>Support our Operations team with the best way to communicate to colleagues across our branches and distribution centres.</li><li>Utilising key material from the wider group (Tesco) to improve our community and charity engagement plan.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li><strong>Operational skills relevant for this job</strong><ul><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Stakeholder management</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities</li><li>Be able to work independently and problem solve</li><li>To comply with all business legal, regulatory and ethical requirements</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Key People I work with, in and outside of Booker:</strong></p><ul><li>Wider Communications team</li><li>Retail and Catering teams</li><li>Stakeholders across business teams including People, Sustainability and Operations</li><li>Customers/Suppliers/Colleagues</li><li>Relevant external bodies/agencies</li></ul><p><strong>Experience relevant for this job:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience within a similar role, a background in communications or PR or degreed educated</li><li>Have experience of development and management of communications campaigns</li><li>Stakeholder management experience</li></ul><p><br></p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
