<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role</h3><p>We are looking for a Data Scientist to join Matalan.</p><p>Key Responsibilities -</p><ul><li>Working with the Merchandising &amp; Stock Placement teams on a range of projects to optimise the stock availability and demand forecasting accuracy&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Driving innovation with the forecasting engine with a focus on delivering stock optimisation&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Developing existing AI/ML tools including Google Vertex AI and Azure ML&nbsp;</li><li>Building models to answer complex business questions and to proactively inform stock placement strategy and direction.&nbsp;</li><li>Build, validate and monitor predictive models to grow business confidence.&nbsp;</li><li>Cultivating relationships cross functionally with stakeholders across Matalan including stock placement and supply chain.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="absolute bottom-2 right-2"><button onclick="scrollToTop()" class="theme-primary p-2 rounded-lg flex"> <i translate="no" class="material-symbols-outlined"> arrow_upward </i> </button></div>
