The Marketplace Manager will identify new business opportunities, foster partnerships, and enhance the marketplace's offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the marketplace landscape, exceptional negotiation skills, and a passion for building relationships.</p><p>Main Responsibilities In The Position of Marketplace Manager Include:</p><ul><li>Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.</li><li>Analyse customer needs to develop effective strategies.</li><li>Attend trade fairs, marketplace seminars, and conferences to stay ahead of the market.</li><li>Identify brand gaps and devise strategies across multiple categories.</li><li>Represent the business in front of prospective seller partners and service providers.</li><li>Identify and establish partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.</li><li>Negotiate contracts to enhance marketplace offerings.</li><li>Promote the company and sign new partners/sellers.</li><li>Develop and implement business development strategies to drive marketplace growth.</li><li>Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs in line with company goals.</li><li>Work closely with aggregator partners and service providers to build joint growth plans.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders.</li><li>Serve as the main point of contact for partners, addressing any concerns or inquiries.</li><li>Work alongside marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on strategy execution.</li><li>Collaborate on promotional campaigns and initiatives.</li><li>Liaise with internal teams (legal, finance, IT, operations) to ensure smooth transitions and growth projects.</li><li>Monitor and report on marketplace performance, providing insights and recommendations.</li><li>Utilise data analytics to refine strategies and inform decision-making.</li><li>Build scalable processes for community development and daily operations.</li><li>Manage, train, and mentor the team to ensure KPIs and goals are met.</li><li>Ensure compliance with UK regulations, company policies, and FCA Conduct Rules.</li><li>Demonstrate behaviours in line with company values.</li><li>Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others.</li></ul><p>What We Are Looking For:</p><ul><li>3-5 years of track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in a marketplace or e-commerce environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, trends, and best practices.</li><li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Experience with data analysis and utilising insights to refine strategies.</li><li>A business degree is preferred but not essential.</li><li>A proactive, 'can-do' entrepreneurial attitude.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and understanding of retail.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Self-motivated with a track record of achieving targets and driving growth.</li><li>Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.</li><li>Creative, innovative, and collaborative problem-solver.</li><li>Ability to influence without authority and engage with senior management effectively.</li><li>Excellent organisation and critical thinking skills.</li></ul><p data-start="0" data-end="71"><strong data-start="0" data-end="23">Apply today to find out more!</strong></p><p data-start="0" data-end="71"><strong data-start="0" data-end="23">BBBH33172</strong></p></dd>
