<div id="job-desription" class="INHERIT DEFAULT-UL basis-0 flex-grow ng-tns-c35-2"><p>The Air Ambulance Service provides two very important functions, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) which provides paediatric transfers across the UK. Our objective is to save lives, utilising specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics and with our work centered on saving lives, improving clinical outcomes and being able to react quickly and efficiently to emergencies.</p><p>Every day our charity is tasked with a unique set of missions which we respond to with our fantastic services, all of which are funded entirely by voluntary donations, trading and fundraising activities we undertake. This ethos remains at our core; we are here to work alongside and help the NHS without using their available funds. The impact we make with our services is to keep people alive, keep families together, to let children grow into adults and to enable the NHS to carry out more work than they would have been able to without our support.</p><p>We also impact our communities by creating jobs, taking actions to improve the environment, bringing people together as volunteers and creating worthwhile training and experience opportunities.</p><p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Volunteer Experience Officer</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Rugby - Hybrid (40% office based)</p><p><strong>Full Time: </strong>37.5 hours</p><p><strong>Annual Salary:</strong> £28,500</p><p><strong>Closing Date:</strong> 6th June 2025</p><p><strong>Interview Date:</strong> 12th June 2025</p><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><p>To enable The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) to achieve in its vision to purposely grow and effectively utilise the volunteer network, to reach new heights together. <br>The Volunteer Experience Officer will hold an integral role within the creative development of supportive systems and processes. Working alongside the Volunteer Experience Manager, the Volunteer Experience Officer will develop and deliver projects and activity to ensure that TAAS:<br>- Provides a great volunteer experience throughout the volunteer journey.<br>- Builds on the TAAS volunteer community connection and enrichment opportunities.<br>- Supports staff and volunteers through the provision of inspiring and relevant learning opportunities. <br>- Creates, reviews and utilises an effective framework of volunteer policies and procedures.<br>- Positively develops external partnerships.<br>- Takes an insight driven, proactive approach to volunteer recruitment and retention.<br>- <br>The Air Ambulance Service are at a point of delivering exciting forward-thinking change, with new organisational and volunteering strategies leading the direction of our work. At this transitional time the Volunteer Experience Officer will be responsible for leading key projects offering the post holder a rewarding opportunity to develop and deliver new and creative initiatives. With a growth mindset, and great people skills this role will enable the volunteer network in its support of organisational ambitions. Our volunteer team works across many business areas, often with geographical distance from each other; but the heart we have within our work and the volunteering strategy aims to deliver a personalised volunteer experience. <br>Key responsibilities:<br>1. Lead role in the development, delivery and evaluation of volunteer network communication methods.<br>2. Identify training needs and skills gaps within the management and support of great volunteer experience.<br>3. Deliver training and presentations (online & face to face) as required using a range of tools to support training and learning needs.<br>4. Provide insights into volunteer motivations and expectations, translating these into suggested process changes and project developments. <br>5. Build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lead for Employer Supported volunteering experiences.<br>6. Utilise engagement platforms and TAAS data to produce reports and insights that can inform Department and organisation activity, and to report against Key Performance Indicators. <br>7. Work closely with the Volunteer Growth Managers to assist the delivery of growth plans, including identifying training needs, skills gaps and recruitment opportunities.<br>8. Work with the safety and well-being of volunteers and the forefront of all decision making and actions.<br>9. Consider how volunteers can support you to deliver in your role.<br>10. Work in close partnership with staff across the TAAS, supporting project work as required<br>11. Stay current with best practice guidance and volunteerism to ensure continually excellent standards of practice.</p><p> Personal Specification<br>1. Experience of managing volunteers, an understanding of what makes a great volunteer experience, and a passion for the value volunteering brings to organisations, individuals and communities. <br>2. Proven ability to deliver cross-team projects and all elements of the project lifecycle, to achieve specific goals. <br>3. Experience of successfully developing, delivering and evaluating training and presentations.<br>4. A great communicator, who can flex their style and methods to suit a range of audiences. <br>5. An understanding of volunteer engagement methods, and an ability to translate charity messages to resonate with volunteers and prompt action. <br>6. Ability to analyse data, and present insights and recommendations to a range of audiences<br>7. Experience of building and managing relationships with external partners. <br>8. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.<br>9. Demonstrable evidence of behaviour in line with TAAS core values throughout career to date. <br>10.
