This means putting style before trends and truth before hype.</p><p>We are looking for a Junior Buyer to our Head Office team in Richmond.</p><p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p><p>To work alongside and support the Buyer to be accurately administering the ordering process. To manage the performance of (product area), specifically (details) in line with brand strategy, to maximise sales and achieve the targeted profit margin. Ensuring the product appeals to the Jigsaw customer profile. To Support to deliver ranges that follow the critical path and achieve best prices and best fit and quality for the Jigsaw brand. Deliver the department plan working with merchandising, design and sourcing team.</p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>Overall responsibilities</p><p>• CRITICAL PATH – Accurately and efficiently update and manage the critical path to ensure product is brought in on time. Complete all necessary administration and set up appropriate files to manage the buy.</p><p>• TRACKING – maintain awareness of the progress of all and orders and garments in the buying cycle and highlight areas of concern.</p><p>• PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT – Ensure all information is accurate that leaves the Buying department so that product ranges and sample collections are accurate and it is clear to the relevant departments the required time scales to the critical path. Confident in managing all approvals and submissions.</p><p>• SAMPLE SUPERVISION AND FITS – Manage sample to ensure they are available on time. Attend fit meetings and manage all in house administration. Ensure samples are correct tidy and well maintained. Labelling and appearance.</p><p>• PRICE AND MARGIN - Understand price positioning of Jigsaw product in the marketplace (current position and aspirational goal for the brand), conduct regular competitive shops.
