<div data-v-0e62ab25="" class="flex xs12"><div data-v-0e62ab25=""><p id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Swimming is one of the most popular activities we run at our YMCA Camp Williams school holiday club. &nbsp;</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">We are looking for dedicated Swim Support Leaders to be with the children during their session in the pool, helping them to get ready before and after the sessions.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Working during the school holidays, Monday to Friday, around 15 hours per week 1.30pm - 4.30pm each day (with some flexibility!) you will:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size: 16px;">Escort the children from The Beckett School to t<span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">he Portland Leisure Centre via mini bus</span></li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Assist them get ready for swimming if help is required</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Be responsible for your group of children, who will be grouped according to ability</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Create fun, engaging and safe games and activities to play in the pool to ensure the children have maximum amount of fun</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Be ready to be splashed and get involved with the games in the pool</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Provide encouragement to reluctant swimmer to get involved where needed</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Help the children get ready to return to the Beckett School at the end of the session</li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">You will be in the pool while the children swim ensuring supervision of children is maintained throughout the session. Safeguarding is of upmost importance to us and you will provide an additional level of oversight and support when needed. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">You will need to wear appropriate clothing for the activity – shorts and t-shirt (a YMCA staff t-shirt will be provided to be worn over swimwear so you can be easily identifiable).</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">There is no requirement to teach the children how to swim as this is a fun activity rather than a lesson. &nbsp; However if you did hold a Swim England Level 2 certificate, this would be a bonus. &nbsp;If you have previous experience of leading similar activities, this would be fantastic. &nbsp;If you will need to be a confident, competent swimmer.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">You will need to be able to commit to this role to ensure the safety and well-being of the children at Camp is maintained at all times.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">This role would suit you if you are looking for additional work during the school holidays between your studies or other employment that leaves you free during non-term time.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br>Based from The Beckett School, Wilford Lane, Nottingham, you will be based here every day, accompanying the children and Swim Support leaders at t<span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">he Portland Leisure Centre</span> where we swim.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Please note, you must be over 18 to apply for this role. &nbsp;This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
